The exclusive Bacchus Basement Bar is available for all types of function hire for up to 100 people. It is the ideal private party venue for a reunion, anniversary, wedding reception, charity night, birthday (except ages 21 or under) and other meetings or events.

We know organising parties can be a bit stressful. Let us make arranging your special night simple. We've a range of different buffet options, and we can even sort out a DJ so that you can party the night away stress-free!

A small deposit is required to secure your booking, but this may be returnable depending on the size of your event - ask for details when booking.

Terms and Conditions

Deposits

A provisional booking will be held for a maximum of one week without the deposit being paid, thereafter we will consider the provisional booking cancelled.

The deposit of £100* secures your booking and is refundable subject to certain conditions:
  • Where the bar takings reach £800, £50 will be refunded
  • Where the bar taking reach £1500, the full deposit will be refunded
  • No damage is cause by the hirer or their immediate party
  • No alcohol is consumed by the hirer or their immediate party that has not been purchased from our bar


The deposit is returnable the day after the function. Deposits are returned in cash only and must be redeemed no later than 28 days after the event.
If the function is cancelled less than four weeks prior to the booking date, the deposit will not be refunded.

The function room is not available on Friday and Saturdays for parties less than 40. Should there be less in attendance by 10pm, the management reserve the right to transfer the function to an area of the main bar. The deposit will be withheld.


DJs / Music

Two options are available:

  • Hire Our DJ: £120 is payable in full prior to the function (£25/hour or part hour if more than 5 hours)
  • Provide your own DJ: The sound mixer will only be supplied. Please ensure that your DJ is aware of the setup prior to the function.


The deposit is returnable the day after the function. Deposits are returned in cash only and must be redeemed no later than 28 days after the event.
If the function is cancelled less than four weeks prior to the booking date, the deposit will not be refunded.

Buffets

Two options are available:

  • Our Buffet Menu. See above options
  • Provide your own buffet, either personally or through a private catering company. Please notify us in this instance so buffet tables can be erected in advance. Use of Bacchus’s kitchen facilities are prohibited.


General Information

  • The Basement area holds approximately 100 people.
  • Functions will run to 8pm to 1am unless an earlier start time is pre-arranged. Please let us know in advance if access is required earlier to decorate or lay out food.
  • Children are only permitted in the function area until 8pm.
  • No 18th, 19th or 20th Birthday bookings will be accepted.
  • Entry is at managements discretion and photographic proof of age may be requested.
  • No entry after 12am.
  • Only alcohol purchased on the premises may be consumed.
  • Anyone suspected or found to be taking illegal substances will be asked to leave and further action may be taken.
  • Personal possessions left unattended are at customers’ own risk.
  • Any flyers for pre-club nights must be approved by the management in advance.
  • Any function concealing the true nature of the even may be closed down and deposit withheld.
  • Functions with less than 30 people in attendance at midnight may be closed at the discretion of the manager.
  • No metallic confetti or sellotape are permitted to be used to decorate. Only blu-tac can be used.
